HTC Desire S, made the right choice

I was confused and didn't know which phone should I buy, the HTC Desire S, Desire HD or maybe I should get the Samsung Galaxy S. The problem with smartphones is that hey always entice yu to buy the best phone, the best camera, the slimmest and that comes with a price, of course.

It is really important to know what you want and expect from your phone, what features are you willing to pay to have and what is trivial and just luxury for you. After reviewing many reviews and comparisons between the HTC Desire S Vs Desire HD I knew that the HD will be more than I need and it is also more expensive. I decided to go with Desire S and I don't regret it, it is an amazing phone with everything you need and a very good processor.

The specs are above the average of course but not the latest (the galaxy S 2 and the new incredible are more advanced) but I wouldn't pay more than I already did. The size and look are also essential when you need something not very big and yet the screen is wide enough for comfortable browsing and reading. I am happy with my choice and I definitely recommend the HTC Desire S.

Sony Ericsson F305

This is a post about the little F305. You may have not heard about it. It focuses on motion gaming as it allows you to control the action by swaying or swinging the phone, and it comes with 11 games. the phone as you can see it small and nice, not expensive, but it's resolution isn't very fantastic. It comes with all the other Sony Ericsson feature so it's not only about games.

It comes in 2 colors: black and white.

w910i tricks - Increasing the volume

One of my favourite phones is the W910i, a nice and beautiful phone, which is both light and efficient. Some may suffer from the low volume during calls. The solution is very simple and lies on the right side of the phone, the volume buttons. See the picture:

Sometimes or when you restart your phone, the volume drops, so make sure to increase the volume during the call to get maximum sound. The same thing applies to the media player when listening to MP3s, with the first button on the right side you can control (increase/lower) the volume as you want.

Another use for this button : when receiving a call (someone is calling you and you don't wan to answer), pressing this button once makes the it silent (not silent mode, but it makes the ringing stop), if you press it twice it will send a busy tone to the caller.

Don't forget the steps to add a theme to your phone : After you download and unzip the file, plug your USB cable into the computer, copy and paste the theme file into the the "themes" folder in your phone card (you will find it in My Computer), remember that the extension of the file should be .thm. It's the extension of the themes for sony ericsson phones.

- To know the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI Number).
Press: *#06#

-Record a call! :
During a call, choose "More" then scroll down to "record"
This works with w910i, K810, K800i and some other phones.

-Checking the battery when the phone is off : press on once and wait to see the battery bar.

-Activate silent mode:
Press # for a few seconds!

-Watch videos online (like youtube):
go to tinytube.net from your mobile, it's very simple! the cost depends on the size of data transferred, various qualities available.

-Send a busy tone in W910i:
When someone is calling you, press the volume +/- button on the side twice.

How to setup a wlan (wi-fi) connection in Sony Ericsson mobile phones:

Search for available networks in the are you are in, notice the strength of the signal.
Go to : New account , choose a name for your account.
choose security:WEP and choose Find SSID.
Network mode: infrastructure.
make sure to enter the same password of the network in the Web key.
Save.
Then connect to the network you choose.

This is almost the same in all phones, you get the idea!

It's the lovely K750i. With a 2 megapixels camera for photos and videos, a great program to manage images and edit them on your computer. I like the elegant design of this mobile and the fact that it's pretty simple and easy to use. And it is only 99 G weight.

The themes available for w910i are just so many, the "Shake it themes" are the ones that change in color or moves, interacts with shaking the mobile. It's really funny and they make your phone look beautiful. I think they are cool but some of my friends hate it when the phone vibrates.

So, whereever you are, you can still keep in touch with your friends.
From your mobile phone, go to ebuddy.com and then choose download. After it's downloaded you will find it in your applications, run the program and enter your login details and that's all.
They also have a web based version if you point you computer browser to ebuddy.com you can use different messenger networks in case you don't have the software or having troubles running MSN Messenger or others.

Some disadvantages of the W595

The Sony Ericsson W959 mobile is a phone with a beautiful look that has some good features and it's sound is very good. It also has the shake control feature which is kinda cool, I like the idea that you can change the song and the volume by shaking the phone. But here are some cons of this phone:

The phone supports video calls but has no front camera. It has one 3.2 Megapixels camera and supports video calling. which means you can only see who you are calling, or maybe you can use the camera in the back so they can see you but you can't see them!
The battery cover could have been better than this, it makes a strange sound if you press on it and it's difficult to open it.
The memory card slot is in a bad place in relation to the battery cover.
Sometimes it becomes slow.
